What Kubeadapt does
A one-page tour of every Kubeadapt capability, grouped by what you're trying to accomplish.
If you're new to Kubeadapt, this page tells you what the product does in one screen. Each capability links to the Core Concept page that explains the methodology behind it.
Overview
The two pages you land on every morning.
- Organization Dashboard — Aggregated cost, efficiency, and CO₂ across every cluster you can see. The "is everything OK?" page.
- Clusters — Status, agent version, last-seen timestamp, and per-cluster spend for every cluster connected to your org. The starting point for cluster-level drilldowns.
Analytics
Slice cost and emissions however you need to answer a question.
- Cost Observability — A real-time, drill-down cost intelligence layer for Kubernetes. Track spend across every level of your infrastructure — from organization and cluster down to namespaces, workloads, pods, and containers — with live KPIs, historical trends, allocation breakdowns, and efficiency metrics at each layer.
- Cost Explorer — Group spend across ten dimensions (workload, namespace, controller, node, pod, container, deployment, statefulset, daemonset, instance type), filter with AND/OR, switch between Fully Loaded and Workload Only modes. Export to CSV or PDF is available.
- Cost Attribution — Attach every workload's cost to a Team and an optional Department, by Kubernetes label or manual assignment. Up to 10 teams per workload with percentage splits.
- Smart Alerting — Threshold-based alerts for cost spikes, budget overruns, abandoned workloads, and new expensive workloads. Routed to Slack, email, webhooks, or in-app.
- Reports - Coming in June — Time-anchored archive of finalized daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports across cost, change, CO₂, and efficiency metrics. Drill into any period from the heatmap.
Intelligence
Features that act on the data instead of just showing it.
- GreenOps — kg CO₂e for every workload, computed from regional grid intensity using the Cloud Carbon Footprint methodology with per-provider PUE. Monthly and quarterly CSV reports.
- Workload Optimization — Per-cluster pages for Container Rightsizing, Spot Migration, Orphaned Resources, Abandoned Workloads, and Best Practices findings. Each surfaces an actionable list scoped to the cluster you're in.
- Network Intelligence — Deep visibility into Kubernetes network behavior and traffic costs across clusters, namespaces, workloads, and services. Analyze Cross-AZ/Internet traffic flows, detect unusual bandwidth spikes, identify high-cost data transfer paths, and uncover inefficient communication patterns between workloads. Includes topology mapping, traffic attribution, cross-zone / cross-region cost analysis, and actionable recommendations to reduce latency, egress costs, and unnecessary network usage. Backed by the eBPF agent
Coming Soon
- SecureOps — Image security, RBAC analysis, compliance posture, and attack-path findings. Roadmapped, not yet shipped.
Everywhere
A short list of features that show up on every screen.
- Dark mode — Default. Light mode is fully supported; toggle from the settings menu.
- RBAC and SSO — Per-resource roles, user groups, and Enterprise SAML SSO via Configure SSO (most major IdPs).
- Exports — Every analytical view supports CSV and PDF export within the documented row caps.
Next steps
- Quick Start — install the agent and see your first cost data.
- How Kubeadapt works — the read-only data path from agent to UI, and what Kubeadapt deliberately doesn't do.
