Kubeadapt MCP
Connect ChatGPT
Add Kubeadapt to ChatGPT as a developer-mode app and ask about your Kubernetes costs, savings and alerts. Available on ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu.
Add Kubeadapt to ChatGPT as an app built on its MCP server. ChatGPT can then look up your clusters, costs, recommendations and alerts when you ask.
Developer mode, which adds apps from an MCP server URL, is available on ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu, on the web.
Turn on developer mode
- In ChatGPT, open Settings → Security and login.
- Turn on Developer mode.
On Business, Enterprise and Edu workspaces, an admin first allows it under Workspace settings → Permissions & roles, by allowing members to create custom MCP connectors.
Add Kubeadapt
-
Open the apps page in ChatGPT and select + to create an app.
-
Enter the name Kubeadapt and the server URL:
plaintexthttps://mcp.kubeadapt.io/mcp -
Choose OAuth for authentication. ChatGPT registers itself with Kubeadapt; there is no client ID or secret to enter.
-
Create the app. Kubeadapt opens in your browser: sign in, choose the kinds of data and the clusters ChatGPT may read, and select Allow Access.
Kubeadapt appears among your app drafts. Its details page lists the 23 tools it offers.
Ask ChatGPT
-
In a new chat, open the + menu, choose Developer mode and select Kubeadapt.
-
Ask a question:
Use Kubeadapt to compare last week's Kubernetes spend with the week before and tell me which workloads drove the change.
Naming Kubeadapt in the question helps ChatGPT pick the right tools. ChatGPT shows each tool call before it runs; every Kubeadapt tool only reads.
Disconnect
Delete the app in ChatGPT's app settings, or end the connection from the Kubeadapt side under Settings → Kubeadapt MCP → Connections.
