Kubeadapt MCP
Connect Windsurf
Add Kubeadapt MCP to Windsurf's Cascade agent and use Kubernetes cost and rightsizing data while you edit your manifests.
Connect Kubeadapt to Windsurf and Cascade can read what your workloads cost and use while it works on your code.
Add Kubeadapt
-
In Windsurf, open the MCP menu in the Cascade panel and choose to edit the raw configuration. This opens
mcp_config.json. -
Add Kubeadapt under
mcpServers:json{ "mcpServers": { "kubeadapt": { "serverUrl": "https://mcp.kubeadapt.io/mcp" } } } -
Save the file and refresh the MCP servers.
Windsurf asks you to sign in the first time it connects. Kubeadapt opens in your browser: sign in, choose the kinds of data and the clusters Windsurf may read, and select Allow Access.
Ask Cascade
Use Kubeadapt to find the five most over-provisioned workloads on staging and suggest new requests and limits for each.
Disconnect
Remove the kubeadapt entry from mcp_config.json, or end the connection under Settings → Kubeadapt MCP → Connections in the Kubeadapt app.
