Kubeadapt MCP
Connect VS Code
Install Kubeadapt MCP in VS Code with one click or mcp.json, sign in once, and use Kubernetes cost and rightsizing data in GitHub Copilot's agent mode.
Kubeadapt works in VS Code through GitHub Copilot's agent mode. Copilot can then read what your workloads cost and use while it works on your manifests, Helm charts and Terraform.
Install with one click
VS Code opens and shows the server. Select Install.
Or add it to mcp.json
Run MCP: Add Server from the Command Palette, choose HTTP, and enter the server URL. Or add Kubeadapt to .vscode/mcp.json in your workspace to share it with your team:

8}To use Kubeadapt in every workspace, run MCP: Open User Configuration and add the same entry there. Each person signs in with their own Kubeadapt account.
Sign in
- When the server starts, VS Code asks whether Kubeadapt may sign in. Select Allow. If it doesn't start on its own, run MCP: List Servers, select kubeadapt and choose Start Server.
- Kubeadapt opens in your browser. Sign in, choose the kinds of data and the clusters VS Code may read, and select Allow Access.
Ask Copilot

Open the Chat view and switch to Agent mode.

Select the tools icon and make sure the Kubeadapt tools are turned on.

Ask a question:
Which of the deployments in this chart are over-provisioned according to Kubeadapt? Propose new requests and limits for each.
Kubeadapt's prompts are available in chat as /mcp.kubeadapt.weekly-cost-review and the like.
Disconnect
Run MCP: List Servers, select kubeadapt and remove it, or end the connection under Settings → Kubeadapt MCP → Connections in the Kubeadapt app.
