Kubeadapt MCP

Connect Zed

Add Kubeadapt MCP to Zed as a context server, sign in on first use, and ask Zed's agent about Kubernetes costs and rightsizing.

Connect Kubeadapt to Zed and its agent can read what your workloads cost and use.

Add Kubeadapt

Open Zed's settings (zed: open settings from the command palette) and add Kubeadapt under context_servers:

json
{
  "context_servers": {
    "kubeadapt": { "url": "https://mcp.kubeadapt.io/mcp" }
  }
}

Leave out any Authorization header: Kubeadapt uses sign-in, not a token in your settings.

Sign in

The first time the agent uses Kubeadapt, Zed asks you to sign in. Kubeadapt opens in your browser: sign in, choose the kinds of data and the clusters Zed may read, and select Allow Access.

The agent panel's settings show Kubeadapt as running, with its tools.

Ask the agent

Using Kubeadapt, what did the platform namespace cost each day last week, and was any day unusual?

Disconnect

Remove the kubeadapt entry from your settings, or end the connection under Settings → Kubeadapt MCP → Connections in the Kubeadapt app.
