Kubeadapt MCP

Connect Claude

Add Kubeadapt to Claude as a custom connector and ask about your Kubernetes costs, savings and alerts in any chat. Works on every Claude plan.

Add Kubeadapt to Claude as a custom connector. Once connected, Claude can look up your clusters, costs, recommendations and alerts in any conversation, on claude.ai and in the Claude Desktop app.

Custom connectors are available on every Claude plan. The Free plan allows one custom connector.

Pro and Max plans

  1. In Claude, open Customize → Connectors.

  2. Select + Add, then Add custom connector.

  3. Enter the name Kubeadapt and the server URL, then select Continue:

    plaintext
    https://mcp.kubeadapt.io/mcp
  4. For authentication, choose Sign in now and leave the OAuth client settings at their default. Kubeadapt needs no request headers or API keys. Select Add.

  5. Kubeadapt opens in your browser. Sign in, choose the kinds of data and the clusters Claude may read, and select Allow Access.

Team and Enterprise plans

An owner adds Kubeadapt once for the whole Claude organization; each member then connects their own Kubeadapt account.

Owners:

  1. Open Organization settings → Connectors.
  2. Select Add, then Custom, then Web.
  3. Enter the name Kubeadapt and the server URL https://mcp.kubeadapt.io/mcp, then select Add.

Members:

  1. Open Customize → Connectors and find Kubeadapt.
  2. Select Connect, sign in to Kubeadapt, choose what Claude may read and select Allow Access.

Each member sees only what they can see in Kubeadapt, within the choices they made when connecting.

Ask Claude

In a new chat, make sure Kubeadapt is turned on in the tools menu, then ask a question:

Which namespaces in our production cluster cost the most this month, and what changed since last month?

The first time Claude calls a Kubeadapt tool, it asks for your permission. Every Kubeadapt tool only reads, so you can allow them for the whole conversation or always.

Kubeadapt also offers ready-made prompts, such as a weekly cost review or explaining a cluster's bill. See What you can ask.

Disconnect

Remove Kubeadapt under Customize → Connectors, or end the connection from the Kubeadapt side under Settings → Kubeadapt MCP → Connections. Ending it in Kubeadapt takes effect immediately, wherever Claude is running.
